New River is an unincorporated community in Maricopa County with a population of nearly 15,000 residents. Think crisp, fresh air, stunning mountain views, local wildlife and the starriest of night skies, and that’s New River. Better still, New River is about 6-8 degrees cooler than other areas of the Valley, which can be a welcome relief in the hot desert summer months. The community is situated to the northeast of Phoenix, and in close proximity to the hamlets of Anthem, Cave Creek and Carefree.

This is a place that offers easy access for horseback riding, cycling hiking or just lazy ambling on the trails that surround this lovely community. Being in close enough proximity to the cities of Phoenix, Glendale, Peoria and Scottsdale means that New River is obviously also linked to the most prominent industries and occupations to be found in those major and larger cities in Maricopa County.
New River is conveniently located right to the east of the I-17 Freeway, therefore the most direct route to Glendale will be with the 1-17 S, with a commute time of about 35 minutes. For those needing to commute to the Phoenix CBD the same freeway should take less than 40 minutes. The I-17 S will also get you into Tempe in about 45 minutes. Scottsdale can be reached using the Loop 101 E via the I-17 S for a commute time of about 45 minutes.
